WHO ARE WE?

Why the name "Laca Boïates"?

"We wanted a local name".

In Gascon languages, Laca means "bassin" (from Bassin d'Arcachon). It is also the old name for Bassin d'Arcachon, Laca d'Arcaishon.

Boïates is the name of the first people from Pays de Buch.

Our motto, handmade and living beer

After 2 years developping our recipes, we have came up with beers that represent who we are.

We brew all of our beers ourselves only by using natural ingredients: water, malts, hops and yeast.

Our beers are ALIVE.

Why? Because they all are refermented in bottles. We do not add any gas, the yeast creates itself a range of beers flavoring by consuming sugar and naturally releases gas.

We are located in La Teste-de-Buch. Here, we brew almost 500 litters a day. Then, we have to wait 6 weeks (according to the recipe) before our beers are ready to be tasted.

We carefully choose hops and malts and we brew in the respect of raw materials.

We truly care about offering you regional beers that, we hope, will leave a long-lasting impression.
